If you're thinking about visiting Bali, I'm willing to guess that one of the things that drew you there was its breathtaking natural beauty.

White sand beaches with views of the ocean that are crystal clear, lush green jungles, and, of course, some of the most breathtaking waterfalls in the world are all features of this tropical paradise.

Make the most of it because these vistas will be unlike anything you've ever seen if you're traveling from another continent. The waterfalls are not only breathtaking to view, but they also make for the ideal setting for some fantastic vacation photos. It can be challenging to choose which of the many attractions in Bali to see! To assist you in making that challenging decision, I've included some of my top list waterfalls in Bali.

1. Dunsun Kuning Waterfall

The Dunsun Kuning Waterfall, sometimes referred to as the Yellow Waterfall, is situated about 45 minutes east of Ubud in Bali's east central region.

Take your time, even though it shouldn't take you more than 15 minutes and isn't really tough, as there are quite a few stairs and bamboo bridges leading down to the waterfall.

To get there, you must traverse a verdant jungle and past a number of lesser waterfalls, each of which is stunning in and of itself. This waterfall, which consists of a torrent of water flowing over a sizable rock face and into a deep rock pool at the base, is very breathtaking.

Mid-afternoon is when the light is finest, so take some amazing shots and then cool off in the cool sea. What a day!

2. Banyu Wana Amertha Waterfall

This waterfall is among the most stunning waterfalls you will ever witness and is another of Bali's best kept secrets! You won't have to contend with the crowds here because it is little known to other tourists.

Although the trail to the waterfall is new and still under construction in some places, it is simple to walk and shouldn't take more than ten minutes.

Banyu Wana Amertha Waterfall

At this location, there are actually 4 different waterfalls, but the main one (Banyu Wana Amertha) is arguably the most magnificent. It expands, forming a curtain of water that cascades over a sizable rock that is draped in plants. Since this waterfall is quieter and slower, it has a calming effect.

If you take a plunge in the little pool beneath the waterfall, you'll emerge serene and renewed.

3. Banyumala Waterfall

This one is quite difficult to find, making it a hidden gem! In fact, I highly recommend hiring a local guide if you wish to visit this waterfall.

The trip to the waterfall's base takes around 20 minutes and includes some unsettling bamboo stairs, so be sure you're up for the challenge!

Banyumala Waterfall

Due to the presence of two distinct water flows, this waterfall is known as a "twin waterfall." Beautiful foliage surrounds the water as it gracefully pours down the sheer cliff.

Take a refreshing dip—the plunge pool at the base of the waterfall is deep enough for swimming!

4. Munduk Waterfall

You may anticipate great things from this cascade, which has been dubbed Bali's counterpart to the Niagara Falls. It has also been compared to a movie set because it is tucked away in the woods near Munduk Village (approximately 1.5 hours by car from Ubud). It is quite amazing, set amidst rice fields and encircled by mountain peaks.

Munduk Waterfall

You'll adore this one because it's somewhat hidden away and frequently extremely peaceful if you're trying to escape the crowds and find some inner serenity. You don't need to be well-equipped with hiking boots and other gear because the hike down to the waterfall is also very simple.

You can't actually swim here because the water isn't very deep, but you can take some fantastic pictures and admire the majesty of this magnificent waterfall before exploring the neighborhood and getting some food at one of the many nearby warungs!

5. Tegenungan Waterfall

With its central location in Ubud village, Tegenungan Waterfall is unquestionably one of Bali's most well-known and easily reachable waterfalls.

It still has lush foliage all around despite not being as secret as some of the others, and there are plenty of other things in Ubud that are close by, which is perfect if you only have a short amount of time.

Tegenungan Waterfall

There are lots of people (both tourists and residents) who come here for a pleasant swim and high water flow. It takes quite a few steps to get to the waterfall's base, but it is well worth it because it makes for some great pictures.

A word of advice for aspiring photographers: as the location faces west, the finest lighting occurs in the late afternoon and evening.

6. Tibumana Waterfall

Tibumana Waterfall is the location for you if you want to take a break and relax. The bottom of Tibumana features a sizable pool that's ideal for swimming and not too deep, so you can splash around for hours!

Tibumana Waterfall

This waterfall is simply a 10-minute walk from the parking lot and is close to Ubud but less crowded than Tegenungan. Whether you're hiring a scooter on your own or having a local tour guide drive you, the route to Tibumana is bordered with palm palms, making it a complete pleasure to travel down! This should unquestionably be on your list of things to do if you're in Ubud.

7. Leke Leke Waterfall

This one is undoubtedly a bit more off the beaten road and a local secret, making it another hidden gem! This means that, as a bonus, you'll frequently have the place to yourself.

Be careful as you descend the steep path to the waterfall, which also requires you to cross a few shaky bamboo bridges across tropical jungle.

Leke Leke Waterfall

Yet once you get to these breathtaking falls, which plunge precipitously between black rocks, your efforts will be rewarded. This cave is the ideal location for some breathtaking photos that are sure to liven up your Instagram feed!

At the base of the waterfall, there is a plunge pool where you can submerge your head and hear the sound of the water below.
