If the idea of entertaining the kids while on vacation makes your stomach turn, have no worry. Bali is a fun-filled tropical playground for both children and parents, so leave the tantrums at home. With its water slides, safari parks, kid-friendly brunch menus, and boutique shops for tiny fashionistas, a family vacation to paradise will undoubtedly give you "cool parent points."
ANIMALS & WILDLIFE
Activities for children who adore animals. Here is our list of kid-friendly activities that will allow you to interact closely with Bali's fascinating wildlife - from the ground, sky, and underwater!

1. Eat breakfast in the Bali Zoo alongside orangutans.
Bali Zoo is the ideal location to cross off your adventures with exotic animals off your bucket list. Here, you can feed tigers, go on lion safaris, and even eat breakfast with orangutans! The "Breakfast With Orangutans" program, the first of its kind in Indonesia, offers you and the kids to chow down on fresh fruits, pancakes, and cereal while observing Indonesia's magnificent orange apes play nearby. The package also includes pick-up from your hotel and a morning zoo tour with your very own zookeeper so you can see the other animals that live there.

2. Visit Bali Safari & Marine Park to experience life in the wild.
Bali Safari & Marine Park, a safari-themed wildlife park with over a thousand magnificent animals, guarantees a full day (or more!) of adventures and enjoyment. Here, you can see over 100 different species, including rare and imperiled creatures like the Komodo Dragon, orangutan, and Bali Mynah bird. For serious animal lovers, there is also an on-site safari lodge where you may spend the night. There is also a Night Safari here. Take your swimming clothes with you to the water park as well!

3. Visit the monkey forest in Ubud.
Ubud's Monkey Forest is always a terrific day trip for you and your young monkeys because it is a sacred forest home to cheeky little Macaques, over 186 varieties of trees, and a beautiful Hindu temple at its center. It serves as a study and conservation facility for curious children who want to learn more about their long-lost cousins in addition to being a place to get up close and personal with Bali's native monkeys.

4. Be excited at Bali Equestrian
The Bali Equestrian Centre is Canggu's custom international riding facility set amidst Instagram-worthy scenery. It is a true Canggu jewel. Drop-in activities include pony rides, weekly Tiny Tot classes, photo shoots, camps, lessons in show jumping, and much more.

5. Visit the Bali Bird Park to play cuckoo
The nearly 1000 birds in the Bali Bird Park, many of which are native to Indonesia, can be seen there together with exotic types from Latin America, Africa, and Australia. A family outing with feathery companions!

6. See a buck in Menjangan's National Park.
Kids who like adventure should be taken up to the Bali Barat National Park, far from the commotion of the south. You can travel to Menjangan (also known as Deer Island) here, on Bali's northwestern coast, where there is fantastic snorkeling for all ages (equipment and life jackets are available for hire), as well as black monkeys and even stunning wild deer.

7. Visit Lovina to see dolphins
A trip to Lovina in North Bali is enjoyable in and of itself, but for extra parent brownie points, include a Dolphin Watching tour on your calendar! Take a traditional outrigger cruise (early in the morning is excellent) to see playful dolphins leaping from the pristine waters. A treat for the kids and you.

8. At Bali Butterfly Park, hold enormous butterflies
You can take in the calm and tranquility of tens of thousands of butterflies at Bali Butterfly Park, a tiny facility near Tabanan. Here, you can see a variety of amazing Bali animals, like the Bali Peacock, the common birdwing, and many others. Best advice: visit early in the day to watch the hatchings.

9. Visit Mason Elephant Park
Come see this multi-award-winning and internationally known Mason Elephant Park and conservation reserve where you can wash and feed the elephants. It is one of Bali's most popular tourist destinations and is home to around 30 endangered Sumatran elephants. They also provide elephant rides, however for the sake of the elephants' health and welfare, we strongly advise against it.

10. Releasing young sea turtles into the wild.
The Bali Sea Turtle Society has been working to conserve, preserve nests, facilitate hatching, and raise awareness for these lovely but vulnerable marine animals since 2011. To learn how, when, and where you and your family can help release newborn sea turtles and safeguard their nests, visit the website.
