The most well-known honorific attributed to Bali is "The Island of the Gods."

The name is inspired by the tremendous natural beauty and geographical wonders of the island as well as by the Hindu gods that the Balinese people worship.

These breathtakingly stunning works of art dot the Balinese countryside like relics of a bygone era when gods walked the earth.

Explore Bali's natural beauty by escaping Denpasar's frenetic bustle and the flashy resort strips. The majority of these locations are easy to locate, but some of its most amazing geological wonders will require a bit more work to find.

In fact, several of them receive very little traffic at all. Connect with a knowledgeable local guide or make your own travel arrangements if you want to see the Isle of the Gods' unspoiled splendor at its finest.

Go off the beaten tourist path to find some of these stunning natural sites!

1. Sukawati's Hidden Canyon, a sacred and secret canyon Bo Jiwang

There is a sacred, hidden canyon in Sukawati that is so amazing that it will undoubtedly inspire everyone. It is located close to Pura Beji Guwang. This hidden canyon is a must-see for every artist, photographer, creative, or just anyone who wishes to be amazed by a real-life view of nature's creation.

The most bizarre aspect of this canyon is that, with enough focus, you can make out a crying skull and other faces (lions?!) in the surreal terrain. Moreover, the surrounding colors provide a stunning visual feast.

Enjoy the view while sitting on the flat rocks of the canyon or, if you're feeling very daring, check how far you can descend down the canyon. (Of course, exercise as much caution and safety as you can.)

Be extremely cautious when traveling here because there are multiple rivers with muddy, sticky floors, and you may need to scale some large, slippery boulders. Other than that, feel free to explore at your leisure and truly savor this amazing discovery!

2. The Green Cliffs and Little Grotto of Undisan Bangli

With views of neighboring waterfalls, woodlands, ravines, and rice paddies, just getting here will be an adventure in and of itself. The Green Cliffs of Undisan are basically the ravine's sides, which are tall cliffs covered with moss. What is the greater secret of the Green Cliffs' natural wonder, which is still undiscovered?

When the green cliffs meet, if you follow the water underneath, you'll find a hidden grotto!

Depending on how daring you are, you might even swim inside the cave to see what lies behind the rocks' malachite color!

If not, just take a seat on a rock beneath the lush cliffs and engage in some quiet meditation in this lovely and remote setting.

3. Bhuana Sari Waterfall

One of Bali's most breathtaking waterfalls, it is by far undiscovered, pristine, and breathtaking! So why not travel to the north and discover this undiscovered treasure?

This waterfall is off the beaten path because it is remote and a 2.5-hour journey from Denpasar. But, despite its unparalleled beauty, it is not a power to be feared.

You get to enjoy a magnificent rush of water coming down after a 20-minute hike. The Banyu Wana Amertha Waterfall has two sets, the second of which is Bhuana Sari; both provide amazing experiences.

Watch it erupt from the rocks and cascade into a creek in a tranquil manner. Listen to the calming sound of the water flowing and the chirping of birds as you awaken all of your senses.

Enjoy Mother Nature at her best by jumping into the small natural pool to cool yourself after making the effort to get there or by just watching the raindrops fall from a rock's top.

The waterfall is regarded as a secret oasis, and only true explorers travel this far to discover an undiscovered jewel! So why not venture off the established road right away?

4. Kanto Lampo Waterfall

This waterfall is a special place to breathe in, breathe out, and meditate in tranquility since it contains a unique blend of four of the five elements (fire, water, earth, and air). Imagine a crystal-clear river, a massive pile of boulders, fresh air, and a gentle current of water penetrating through them all.

Locals claim that water has only been pouring through the cave recently (presumably since 2015), after a lengthy praying ceremony. Since that time, the villagers have seen the waterfall as a blessing because it draws tourists and provides them with a source of revenue.

A cave allegedly materialized after the worshiping incident, according to legend. Currently, people meditate in the cave, which also serves as a haven for several kinds of bats.

With a set of well-maintained stairs leading down to the waterfall, it is quite accessible to all visitors, but there are also additional simple amenities like parking spaces and changing rooms. As you spend the day fishing for the evening's dinner, chat with the locals beside the river.

There is also a modest Hindu temple in the neighborhood that is designed like a gazebo, where locals go to pray. On the rocks, there are a number of lovely engravings that you may see. Kanto Lampo Waterfall is a unique location where culture and environment converge.

5. Tukad Cepung Waterfall

You must be well aware of Bali's magnificent waterfalls. Travelers have just recently learned about Tukad Cepung Waterfall, which is relatively unknown and unexplored.

This is the closest you can get to being in nature. Dress appropriately as you will need to climb a set of stairs to reach this gem.

Most importantly, remember to treat the area's natural surroundings with kindness and respect while the community works to preserve it. Remember to glance up as you descend the stairs because cliffs surround you and a waterfall is flowing from a river above.

Therefore, proceed with extreme caution and consider the river's water level before proceeding to the falls. If the water table starts to rise during a rainstorm, rapid flooding could happen, so be sure to check before going down the steps!

6. Campuhan Antapan Waterfall

It's amazing how many waterfalls there are in Bali because it seems like a new one is discovered almost every month, leaving you to wonder why it wasn't found earlier. Although getting to Campuhan Antapan can be a little difficult, once you're there, everything is really simple.

From the entryway, a short path leads directly to this tranquil waterfall. It may not be Bali's largest waterfall, but it nonetheless has charm all its own. You may freely soak in the water without worrying that you'll be swept away because the river next to it is sealed off from the pool! Moreover, you can partially climb the waterfall and sit in the water!

7. Leke Leke Waterfall

Leke Leke Waterfall is still not a traveler's first option when it comes to Bali waterfalls, although having gained some popularity over the past several months. why? The intersection of two cliff sides is surprisingly graced with a stunning single cascade, giving the impression that it is the entrance to a hidden cave.

In contrast to other secret waterfalls on the island, this one has a well-maintained entrance and renovated amenities nearby, so you may experience the advantages of a tourist attraction without the crowds. 12. Mystery Boulder Beach – Yeh Leh Beach

Unless you are a local fisherman, it's unlikely that you have heard of Yeh Leh Beach.

Yeh Leh is not adorned with lovely white sand like your ideal beach and is instead situated in Jembrana, close off the Denpasar-Gilimanuk highway.

Instead, tens of thousands of stones, either covered in algae or rinsed clean by the sea, clutter the shore. Since they have been smoothed over over hundreds of years, these strange rocks have left few traces of their past.

You can visit Yeh Leh at low tide to see it in all its splendour, with the boulders uncovered and a variety of fascinating marine creatures caught in the rock pools. The beach is actually very accessible.

And if you're able to, don't miss its magnificent sunset, which illuminates each gleaming rock along the shore.

13. Mount Batur’s Volcanic Landscape – Desa Pinggan

The most popular volcano in Bali is Mount Batur (1,717m), but most visitors flock to Kintamani Bali hamlet to see the magnificent fire-breather.

We advise you to visit the more remote settlement of Pinggan for what is perhaps a more stunning vista of Batur.

Here, in a more lonely, contemplative atmosphere, you may witness the ferocious splendor of the active volcano.

Batur is most picturesque at sunrise and sunset, and it also provides for stunning night photography, with the lights of Pinggan town illuminating the mountain's base and a starry sky above the peak.

14. Picnic with a twist (or a slant) – Bukit Asah Bugbug

A picnic in the secluded sanctuary of Bukit Asah Bugbug, Karangasem, is the best thing ever.

This sloping slope with its ocean view is the ideal location for a picnic with a unique twist (or slant)!

This picnic location is ideal for seeing the sunrise and for enjoying expansive views of the Indian Ocean, including its coral reefs and little islands. It is yet another wonderful romantic getaway for couples.

15. The Twin Lakes of Tamblingan and Buyan

The lakes are the source of life for the towns in the area, and you might even witness natives navigating the waters in classic dug-out canoes.

The summit of the hill near Asah Gobleg Village offers the best views of both lakes together.

While exploring the forests around the lakes, you'll come across some of Bali's most untouched natural environments, which are inhabited by animated packs of monkeys, squirrels, and many birds.

16. Bukit Cinta

The best time to observe Mt. Agung is early in the morning when it is shrouded in mist and surrounded by rice paddies. It is without a doubt one of Bali's most breathtaking sights. You can find this viewpoint by traveling to Bali's east, a region that is still mostly unknown.
